Amazon continues to expand functionality with Alexa, it's user-friendly AI. Last week, Nucleus integrated its smart intercom system for the home with Alexa, a rare feat for a touchscreen device.
The Nucleus home intercom system features a front-facing HD camera, a built-in microphone, and speakers you can use to talk or stream music. It works with iOS and Android, so you can also check in on the intercom system remotely.
Integrating with Alexa means the system also gains a variety of different non-intercom functionalities, becoming what could easily be a leading touchscreen hub of the smart home. Working with Alexa, the Nucleus can also tell users about the weather, add items to your grocery list, and play music through multiple streaming services.
Nucleus is available today for $249, through Amazon and at Lowe’s retail locations.
